In a magnificent setting on Royal Deeside offering a unique opportunity to sample the Lifestyle of a Laird, host a Highland Wedding or organise a Corporate Function.
The Castle of Invercauld has been the seat of the Clan Farquharson Chiefs since the early 16th century with the present house recast and partially rebuilt in 1874 in the current Scottish Baronial style. At this time, the main entrance was re-orientated towards Balmoral in recognition of the new Royal owners - Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, who's enthusiasm for the area is well documented and continues with the present Royal family, culminating in the Braemar Highland Gathering which enjoys Royal patronage. Invercauld Estate extends to approximately 200 square miles and is bounded by the River Dee, one of the most famous salmon rivers in Scotland, where fishing can be arranged.
The house enjoys a tranquil, parkland and wooded setting and is furnished in grand Victorian style with antique furniture and furnishings. A reception hall suitable for pre dinner drinks and a cosy boudoir for private liaisons complement the beautifully panelled dining room and opulent drawing room. There are four poster beds and huge, deep baths set in spacious bathrooms, all reminiscent of the bygone era which you have this unique opportunity to experience. With enjoyable woodland, riverside and hill walks and formal gardens for relaxation, Invercauld is the perfect setting for a memorable holiday, a highland wedding or corporate function.
