Activities:
A natural playground for
children, with a nearby burn with waterfall opening into a small
natural swimming pool, the property is also a haven for birdwatchers,
enjoying a wide variety of bird and wildlife. There is excellent
walking from the door, fishing is readily available and shooting
may be arranged. Close to several small villages for shopping
and dining out, The Muirkirk Log House is within easy reach of the sandy
beaches of the Ayrshire coast and numerous golf courses. Championship
golf courses can be found at Turnberry, Troon and Prestwick.
Culzean Castle, the flagship of the National Trust for Scotland
is well worth a visit and the area is, of course, renowned as
the birthplace of Scotlands national bard, Rabbie Burns,
with museums and historic houses celebrating this connection.
The log fire and extensive
