Conaglen House combines the imposing , spacious grandeur of a Victorian Highland Lodge with modern, comfortable living. The house is provided with a full complement of housekeeping staff, together with a professional cook, whilst furnishings, artwork and decoration throughout the house are all of an extremely high standard.

One of the delights of Conaglen House is its magnificent gardens, which guests can enjoy at their leisure. Tended by a full time gardener, they offer formal and informal designs where you can study the array of herbs, roses, shrubs and rhododendrons. You can enjoy a game of pitch and putt before breakfast on the lawns that sweep down to Inverscaddle Bay or walk through the oakwoods of the estate’s own Doire Donn Wildlife Reserve.

Accommodation:

Ground Floor: Great hall, drawing room with open fire, dining room, billiard room, study, table tennis room, sitting room with open fire.

First Floor: Two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms having large bath with shower over, 5 twin bedrooms with en-suite bathroom having large bath with shower over, single bedroom with large bath with shower over.

Second Floor: 3 further twin bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with shower over bath.

Activities:

There are two stocked trout ponds for a quick evening cast in the sunset before dinner and a host of opportunities for salmon and sea trout fishing on a wide variety of fast and slow rivers in secluded locations. A vast range of walks beckon, with some of the most dramatic views in Scotland. See the snow capped peaks of Ben Nevis in mid August or look down on the world famous Glenfinnan Monument from the estate track beside Loch Shiel. Here you may spot deer, eagles, buzzards, red squirrels and an almost endless array of other animals, birds, flora and fauna.

Should the weather be inclement, the comfort of the house with a full size snooker table, table tennis room, piano and numerous books and board games will amuse all ages.
