However this gorgeous cottage is brand new and designed by Scottish architects who believe that buildings must fit their environment. Inside, solid oak doors and floors and granite kitchen surfaces reflect the quality throughout from the excellent furnishings and fittings to the crisp linen and luxurious beds. With two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the second sitting room, this house is more spacious then you might think and with French doors from the sitting room leading out to the decking at the back that looks over the Torr an Daimh burn you have charming spot to enjoy a quiet drink.

The same cutting edge technology is here as in the Schoolhouse - iPod speakers are in the ceiling, there is a Playstation and Flatscreen TV with Sky channels which may tempt you to stay inside all week.

Should you venture out, there is plenty to do with nearby Ardverikie (Glenbogle in the popular TV series Monarch of the Glen) and Loch Laggan as well as numerous walks, mountain bike tracks and the west coast an easy drive. You can even choose to take a trip on the nearby west coast steam train in time to have dinner and then return to the local station.
