Wester Brewlands, one of President George
W. Bush's childhood holiday homes, is situated on a large estate
dating from 1226, with hills rising to 2500 feet, within the Cairngorm
National Park. There is a wild flower reserve nearby and an abundance
of wildlife including red squirrels, ospreys and huge herds of deer.
Easily accessible, being only one and a half hours from Edinburgh
and two hours from Glasgow, yet surrounded by tranquil highland countryside
and with exceptional services and amenities, this is one of the most
comfortable houses in Scotland.
The ancient formal
garden with revolving summerhouse looks out through 120 acres of
terraced lawns, gardens and deciduous woodland to the River Isla.
Fishing on the River Isla is included with the house. There are
three renowned brown trout hill lochs with boats for fly fishing.
Shooting and stalking can be arranged.
There are five
golf courses within 14 miles, four championship courses including
St Andrews and Gleneagles within one hour, three theatres within
one hour, Glenshee ski resort 35 minutes and excellent local restaurants.
Have tennis lessons from a Wimbledon junior finalist then a massage
followed by the hot tub and dinner made by our own cook! Resident
housekeeper.

The area abounds with excellent golf courses including St Andrews, Carnoustie, Gleneagles and Rosemount. There are several castles and stately homes to visit such as Balmoral, Glamis, Blair Atholl and Scone Palace and Braemar, home of the Highland Games. Pitlochry with Festival Thatre, kilt and cashmere shops is 35 minutes drive.
