Glenshee, The Glen of the Fairies, is one of Perthshire´s most beautiful and romantic glens, and The Bothy, situated in the foothills of the Grampians, is a quaint and charming retreat surrounded by the most stunningly beautiful scenery. The property has recently been refurbished providing holiday accommodation of the highest standard that is fresh, light and airy A cosy sitting room with French doors out to the decking, together with two comfortable bedrooms and a well equipped galley kitchen, make this a fabulous base for any one wanting to tour Scotland - Glamis Castle, Scone Palace, Pitlochry and all the major cities are within two hours drive, with Royal Deeside and Balmoral Castle being only thirty minutes away, over the once notorious Devils Elbow road.
Hillwalkers will love this cottage with twenty one Munros within a fifteen mile radius, including Cairnwell, Beinn Lutharn Mhor and Glas Maol, whilst some may enjoy the lower level walks (e.g. The Cateran Trail - the route used by cattle rustlers in the 15th century).
As well as a great variety of wildlife which abound in the area, ski-ing, mountain biking, stalking, fishing, tennis and shooting are all available locally, as is one of Britain´s highest golf courses, set beside the Dalmunzie Hotel, just a mile and a half away - alternatively simply sit on the veranda of this wonderful little holiday house, enjoy the peace and quiet and marvel at the view.
